THE Malacca government proposal to build an observation tower in the heart of the state’s heritage zone has drawn strong criticism and opposition. 

The historical city of Malacca is, in fact, a reputed tourist destination that attracts millions of foreign tourists as the message depicts: “To visit Malaysia is to visit historical Malacca”.
