THE United Nations Headquarters in Turtle Bay, New York, has become very much a tourist destination. Daily, hundreds of visitors are taken on guided tours through its hallowed halls.
The 54-year-old building may look good from the outside but the inside is in need of major repair. The UN also needs a new building to house its offices now spread around the city.
