Rethink on training jobless graduates

The Human Resources Ministry's Graduates Training Scheme (GTS) was launched in 2001 to equip jobless graduates with skills that would enhance their chances of being employed. WANI MUTHIAH and CECIL FUNG review the scheme, which was scrapped recently when it did not get any financial allocation. 

AFTER graduating with a degree in Information Technology (IT) from Universiti Teknologi Mara in December 1998, Mohd Salman Salleh immediately secured a job with an IT company in Shah Alam.
