I REFER to a recent newspaper report on the Ipoh railway station that the original chengal hexagonal seats on the railway platform are to be removed and replaced with modern furniture.  

In 2001, Badan Warisan Malaysia (National Heritage Trust) was invited by the consultants acting on behalf of KTM Berhad to comment on the proposal for the development of the Ipoh railway station and the design of the new railway platforms.
