THE grisly double-murder in a posh residential complex in the capital a few days ago has put the spotlight on the country’s growing and increasingly assertive gay community.  

The straight-laced, socially conservative mainstream majority frowns upon what it considers deviant behaviour, but gay activists are fighting back with a campaign in the media and the courts to attain wider acceptability for they insist is alternative sexuality.
