Introduce better practice in recycling

I REFER to the letter, “Dumping for now is cheaper than recycling”, from Nicholas K.P. Chin (Sunday Star, Aug 15).  

I would say the recycling efforts in New Zealand are similar to Taipei’s, where people are required to buy plastic bags for trash, which come in various sizes and are readily available in all convenience stores and supermarkets.
