Racists face heavier penalties in Western Australia

AT LAST the Gallop government has come to its senses – in one aspect at least. Firstly, if it means what it has said about equality, harmony and social cohesion in Western Australia, it has to remove all obstacles. 

Secondly, if it means what it has said about accepting Asians, particularly Malaysians, to do business in the state, then it has to prove that it is prepared to take tough action to crush any sign of terror against ethnicity.
