HOUSED in the Stadthuys building, the Cheng Ho Gallery was built in memory of Admiral Cheng Ho, or Zheng He as his name is formally written, who set out on expeditions from China to Malacca beginning slightly after 1405.
The gallery contains information and artefacts about the voyager. It also has replicas of the ships used then, with maps, porcelain and a giant statue of the admiral.
