I REFER to your report “Civil servants may lose extra rest days”, (The Star, Feb 16), in which the Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Samsuddin Osman said civil servants, especially those in the capital had too many public holidays.

Nothing can be further from the truth. All states enjoy 13 federal public holidays plus state holidays of between four and three days each.
