Fit cars with safety features

I COMMEND Transport Minister Datuk Seri Chan Kong Choy for highlighting the lack of safety features in our cars, “Chan wants more safety features in cars” (The Star, Feb 10).

I hope with the backing of a senior official, car manufacturers will pay more attention to safety rather than just “padding” the car with aesthetic features that do not really add value to the vehicle.
