THE Government is merely trying to level the playing field in providing RM200mil in tuition vouchers to enable needy children to compete with their financially better-off schoolmates.

Tuition has become a permanent feature in middle-class families or parents who are keen that their children do better in their studies. These parents feel that the national schools fall short of their expectations and they try to make up by sending their loved ones to tuition classes.
