Six years ago, Faridah’s family opened their hearts and home to Adik, a HIV+ baby abandoned at the Penang General Hospital. Other HIV+ children are not so fortunate, reports IVY SOON, who highlights their plight as World AIDS Day is commemorated Monday.

SINCE he was seven years old, Adik has been taking medicines twice a day every day even though he does not feel ill. He also has to go to hospital for medical check-ups regularly.
