Involve volunteers in wildlife conservation

I READ with much enthusiasm your report, “Creating safe pathways for wild animals” (The Star, Nov 10) and applaud the efforts of the Worldwide Fund For Nature (WWF) Malaysia, the Sabah government, the relevant plantation companies and other interest groups involved in the planning and structuring of these buffer strips for wildlife.

I believe it has long been the dream of environmental groups and nature-lovers to see the migratory animals of Malaysia, especially elephants, be given access to larger habitats.
