Be more cautious of health products

IT IS really sad to read of the death of two young children from taking health tonic in your report “Woman regrets buying tonic after kids die” (The Star, Oct 17).

After the “Slim 10” incident and the travel pill incident leading to the recall of health products manufactured by Pan Pharmaceuticals of Australia, I hope the public will now be more sceptical of health products easily available over the counter.
