IT was already mid-afternoon when Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad decided to take a stroll at London’s Hyde Park, outside the apartments where he was staying. It turned out to be a one-hour walk. 

Reaching the Speakers’ Corner, near the Marble Arch end, the Prime Minister stopped briefly to listen to a Pakistani speaker who was telling his listeners about the virtues of Islam.
