Women should shed feelings of inferiority

I REFER to the letter, “Wives should not be treated as property” (The Star, Sept 5), from Women’s Centre for Change, Penang. 

Apparently, the alleged offending statement, “A wife has to submit to her husband’s wishes, including sex, because she belongs to him”, in your report, “Warning on sodomy law”, (The Star, Aug 29) is the root cause of the outburst of Dr Prema Devaraj.
