The PAS way to keep critics at bay

ANOTHER journalist and I met Puteri Umno chief Azalina Othman for lunch at a Thai restaurant in Bangsar recently. The three of us – a Malay, a Chinese and an Indian – shared a common concern: the increasing intolerance of some politicians and government officials towards our way of life, in the name of religion. 

I told the political aspirant that not many leaders in Umno today were prepared to take PAS politicians head on.
