There are recent changes occuring with US policy on Iraq but few, if any, that are important or meaningful. Washington still determines Iraq's fate, under a veneer to internationalise the promised pacification and elusive reconstruction of the country.
THINGS have been moving on Iraq, although not so much in it. US officials favour phrases like “move forward” in their statements, particularly where there is stagnation or retreats, as if they shared a single PR agency speechwriter.
