I BELIEVE marathon swimmer Abdul Malik Mydin, the first person in Malaysia and South-east Asia who successfully swam across the English Channel deserves the Datukship given by the Penang government.  

His courageous feat proves to us that nothing is impossible for any Malaysian to achieve. His sheer determination and never- give-up spirit have set good examples to us to follow towards success.
