After 20 years of fighting, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) and the Sri Lankan Government have ceased hostilities and are trying to forge peace and rebuild their war ravaged country. Looking at the history of the struggle and the on-going peace process, some Malaysian Tamils share an affinity for the Tiger's fight for an Eelam - a homeland, writes SHAHANAAZ HABIB.
