Guards to shed watchman image

AN attempt is being made to change the watchman mentality of yesteryear with a compulsory training programme that will teach guards to act more professionally. 

The move by the Home Ministry, which will see basic training being given to guards, comes in the wake of criticism hurled at the security service industry and the hiring of untrained or unprofessional guards.
