THE Iraqi war began regardless of global opposition. For those of us who believe that the conflict is an untimely and unnecessary clash of cultures, there must be some sigh of relief that whatever cobbled-up peace may return soon. Yet, ominous forebodings persist.
There is that lingering aftertaste that all is not so well, despite the smaller than expected resistance and casualties from a demoralised people.
