Chinese youths shun joining police force

MALAYSIAN Chinese youths have continued to show their disinterest in joining the police force despite the strong encouragement from the Government and Chinese community organisations, according to the Sin Chew Daily. 

The paper reported that there were only 110 Chinese among the 11,494 applicants who turned up in interviews for the job of police constables held from Jan 8 to 28.
