HOUSEWIVES in Perak have been advised to be wary of salesmen who demand between RM380 and RM400 for safety regulators for cooking gas tanks, Malaysia Nanban reports.

The daily quoted Perak Consumers Association chairman Abdul Rahman Syed Ali, as saying that the device, which normally cost between RM80 and RM100, was sold at exorbitant prices to housewives by “sweet-talking” salesmen, especially in rural areas.
