More Singaporeans flock to enrol in Johor schools

THERE has been a spectacular increase in the number of foreign students who enrolled in national primary and secondary schools in Johor, from last year’s 180 to 2,300 this year following the move to use English in the teaching of Science and Mathematics. 

According to Sin Chew Daily, a senior officer of the Johor Education Department said 249 of the foreign students registered were Singaporeans.
