Mustapa: I’m prepared to be MB if Barisan wins

KELANTAN Umno chief Datuk Mustapa Mohamed is prepared to take up the post of Mentri Besar if Barisan Nasional wins back the state in the coming general election, Mingguan Malaysia reported yesterday. 

“A party worker is appointed by the president. If that is what the people want for me, I have no objection to be appointed as Mentri Besar,” Mustapa was quoted as saying that when commenting on a statement by Umno Peringat division chief Datuk Annuar Musa who named the Kelantan Umno chief as Mentri Besar if Barisan could wrest the state from PAS.
