Double shocker on island

I HAD the opportunity to visit Pulau Jerejak a few days ago and was shocked at what I found there.

Rubbish by the tonnes had been washed up on the shores. Had it been biodegradable garbage, it would not have been so bad but it was plastic that prevailed. There were plastic bags everywhere. It is no wonder that the leatherback turtles are getting smaller in numbers as many of them often mistake plastic bags for jellyfish and die from ingesting the stuff.
