I REFER to the recent reports on suicide and the letter “Never give up on precious life”, (Sunday Star, March 2).
Suicide is a tragedy that results from the interplay of many factors. Whatever the immediate cause or trigger of the tragic act, be it examination failure or financial disaster, the suicidal person feels intense hopelessness, helplessness, loneliness and a narrowing of options.
