PRIVATE higher education institutions in the country are confident that Malaysia can attract 50,000 foreign students and earn RM3bil in foreign exchange over the next five years, as recommended by the National Economic Action Council.

Higher education providers interviewed by Nanyang Siang Pau said they foresaw little problem for the education sector to achieve the goal, provided that the government was committed to its objective of attracting more foreign students.
