700 estate workers left in the lurch

TAMIL Nesan front-paged the plight of more than 700 estate workers who were left in the lurch when an estate management in Kluang, Johor, terminated their services, without prior notice.  

The daily quoted National Union of Plantation Workers (NUPW) Johor branch secretary S. Narayanasamy as saying that the union had filed a claim for RM2.2mil at the Industrial Court in Kluang.
