Contents of mail stolen

FROM the beginning of this year, I have had the misfortune of not receiving two letters and losing the contents of five that were sent to me (one local and four from overseas).  

The five letters were received intact but they had been cleverly opened from the flap of the envelope and pasted back again after removing the contents. They were not costly items but it makes one wonder where to place one's trust these days.
