PUTERI MIC, the newly-formed junior wing of the country’s biggest Indian-based party, has pledged to help Indian women entrepreneurs to obtain loans from commercial banks, reported Tamil Nesan.

Its national co-ordinator, Datuk Anusha Santhirasthipam, said the movement had arranged with two banks to help women to start businesses.

The daily said the wing would also organise seminars and provide guidance to these women to excel in businesses.

Anusha said Puteri MIC was willing to help women between the ages of 18 and 35 to obtain the loans.

Malaysia Nanban reported the arrest of a three-man gang and the seizure of counterfeit Malaysian currency notes by Manjung district police in Perak.
