The government presents its Budget yearly, but we must remember that the money – how funds are allocated, and how goodies are disbursed – is from the rakyat.

THE Prime Minister delivered his Budget 2015 speech last Friday. The speech started very well. I like Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s admission that “the biggest challenge I face in administering Malaysia … is how to balance between policies that are populist in nature as compared to those policies based on economic and financial imperatives”.
