THE website of the National Sports Council has a page plastered with photos from an event on April 26 this year – the launch of the second phase of the Mokhtar Dahari National Football Academy in Gambang, Pahang. The heading on the page declares the academy as “the future face of national football”.
If that is so, it is certainly not a face that will land a thousand championships. Just ask Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.
