DESPITE the fierce objections, petitions and lawsuits, the Election Commission’s redelineation exercise was passed in Parliament. All it took was two hours of debate.
It is a decision that doesn’t please me and I made my case in my Oct 19, 2016, column on the basis that malapportionment is detrimental to the “one man, one vote” doctrine, which is the very basis of democracy.
