Stop the rape of green lungs in KL

Scenery gone: A view from the PJ side of Bukit Gasing shows the KL side of the hill flattened for development and the skyline dotted with condominiums.

AFTER years of procrastinating, due to laziness, I finally spent a good two hours trekking in Bukit Gasing with a good friend of mine.

It was just beautiful. It had rained the night before, but as we made our way up one of its many trails, the hill was bathed in the morning sunshine. As we trekked, I realised that you actually could hike from the Petaling Jaya side to Kuala Lumpur using Bukit Gasing, emerging in Pantai or Kerinchi.
