IN the course of a landlord-tenant relationship, the tenant may often feel that more is demanded of him than is fair. On the other hand, the landlord is inclined to take the view that he is being paid less than what he should get.
However, there are other aspects to this relationship. When a landlord has been generous and kind to the tenant over a long period of time, the tenant begins to believe that he has a right to pay the same rental and to stay there for as long as desired. This is especially so if the landlord does not chase for payment or increase the rent.
