Does the law always equal fairness?

WHENEVER there is an unresolved grievance or a wrong done, the ordinary man’s thoughts always turn to the law. Here he hopes to find relief and remedy. Such a person equates the law with fairness and justice.

In discussing legal aspects and issues, as we have done and will continue to do, there always emerges the question of laws being inadequate, insufficient, unfair and sometimes oppressive. What can we, or anyone, do about this?
