IT was not the ideal location for a political ceramah. The venue was not visible from the road and there was an overpowering smell from the nearby rubber factory.
All the mini ceramah being held in Permatang Pauh by-election have drawn dismal crowds and this one on the far flung fringes was no different. Moreover, the speakers that night were simply not exciting. The GST issue is major, but it was hardly the sort of thing that voters wanted to listen to late at night.
