School buses that are ticking time bombs

I AM writing to express my deep frustration with the ongoing lack of action by the authorities to regulate the school bus transport system. I am particularly concerned after the tragic case in Johor recently where a five-year-old boy died after being left in a school van for several hours.

My child, who is seven years old, was once dropped off by her bus driver in the rain on a busy main road. A relative who usually picks her up and helps her to cross the road arrived late that day. But instead of waiting, the bus driver simply dropped my child and sped off. He did not even ask her if she could cross the road on her own.
