Crude futures settle higher


NEW YORK, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices rose on Monday.

The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for February delivery increased by 38 cents, or 0.64 percent, to settle at 59.50 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for March delivery added 53 cents, or 0.84 percent, to settle at 63.87 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
