Crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Friday.

The West Texas Intermediate for February delivery lost 10 cents, or 0.17 percent, to settle at 57.32 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for March delivery dropped 10 cents, or 0.16 percent, to settle at 60.75 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
