Crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Friday.

The West Texas Intermediate for February delivery lost 1.61 U.S. dollars, or 2.76 percent, to settle at 56.74 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for February delivery dropped 1.60 dollars, or 2.57 percent, to settle at 60.64 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
