Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices inched up on Thursday.

The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for January 2026 delivery went up 21 cents, or 0.38 percent, to settle at 56.15 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for February delivery increased by 14 cents, or 0.23 percent, to settle at 59.82 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
