ZAGREB, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Turkish Air Tractor AT-802F, which was on a circular flight in Croatia, crashed in the town of Krivi Put in the western part of the country on Thursday and the pilot, which was the only person in the plane, was killed in the crash, local media reported.
The plane crashed at around 5 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), and upon receiving the report, rescuers made their way to the crash site at around 6 p.m. and found the aircraft in flames, the Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) said.
After extinguishing the flames, the rescuers found the burned body of the pilot, the report said.
The plane was allegedly flying from Rijeka in western Croatia to the Aeronautical Technical Center in Zagreb, and then returning to Rijeka.
According to Flightradar data, it was an aircraft of the General Directorate of Forestry of Turkey, and there is still no precise information on why the plane from Turkey was flying in Croatia.
