Enzo Fernandez ruled out of Argentina friendly

BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- Enzo Fernandez will miss Argentina's friendly against Puerto Rico due to inflammation in his right knee, the Argentine Football Association (AFA) said.

The Chelsea midfielder sustained the injury during his team's 1-0 win over Venezuela in Miami on Friday.

He played down the problem after the match, telling reporters that playing through injuries is "one of the demands of wearing this shirt."

The AFA did not immediately name a replacement for the 24-year-old World Cup winner.

Tuesday's match will be played in Fort Lauderdale after being moved from Chicago for security and logistical reasons.
