Crude futures settle higher


NEW YORK, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Thursday.

The West Texas Intermediate for September delivery gained 1.31 U.S. dollars, or 2.09 percent, to settle at 63.96 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for October delivery went up 1.21 dollars, or 1.84 percent, to settle at 66.84 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
