Crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Tuesday.

The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for September delivery decreased by 79 cents, or 1.24 percent, to settle at 63.17 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for October delivery dropped 51 cents, or 0.77 percent, to settle at 66.12 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
