ABU DHABI, July 30 (Xinhua) -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) recorded 1.7 trillion UAE dirhams (about 462.7 billion U.S. dollars) in non-oil foreign trade during the first half of 2025, marking a 24-percent increase compared to the same period last year, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced on Wednesday.
"Today, I reviewed the data for the first half of this year regarding the UAE's non-oil foreign trade. It achieved significant growth of 24 percent compared to the first half of the previous year," he said in a post on social media platform X.
He added that current performance is double the figures recorded five years ago, noting that trade relations with several international partners have experienced remarkable growth -- rising by 120 percent with Switzerland, 41 percent with Türkiye, 33 percent with India, 29 percent with the United States, and 15 percent with China.
"The numbers speak of unprecedented development for the UAE," he said.
