YAOUNDE, July 23 (Xinhua) -- Cameroon head coach of the national men's football team, Marc Brys resigned on Wednesday citing "contract violations" as the reason for his departure.

In his resignation letter addressed to the country's Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, the Belgian said he was quitting his job "due to the non-payment of my salary and that of my staff for more than 60 days".

"I urge you to take necessary measures for prompt settlement of this matter, to avoid litigation," Brys said.
